After a prolonged and detailed study and several visits made by the Superior General of the congregation of Sisters of Charity (Mother Donata), w€ decided to open a centre with the objective of imparting education as we saw that this was the compelling and urgent need of the time in this region of Athipet. We are also full aware that the development of any place or any group begins with Education as it answers to one of the basic urges of the human being namely, the desire to know. Imbued with the zeal and moved by spirit of our founder Rev. Fr. Augustine John Ukken, and guided by his motto " There should be no one around us whom we do not know" we opened a school on June lOth 1996. We intended the school to be a "Home away from Home" so that every child who enters the threshold of this hold alma mater irrespective of his caste, creed and colour will feet welcome and at home. Our aim has been always to impart education to all those who desire it with a sincere heart irrespective of the above mentioned distinctions. Our school becomes a family when affection is mutual when all, both teachers and students feel welcome and responsible for the common good. Now, after almost 25 years of the existence of our school, we can boldly and proudly say with certain amount of holy pride that we have been able to keep up our aim and that we have faithful in the parrying out of our mission in the best way that was possible to us. All throughout the process of foil ration and education we have been guided by three noble values which have formed the edifice of our system of education. They are Wisdom, Love and Sacrifice. These three principles act like the watchwords and they bring together educators and the children in a family experience of thrust and dialogue.
